Solo 25 % registra y puede buscar las interacciones de clientes vulnerables: la evidencia del contact center, a pruebaOnly 25% log and can search vulnerable-customer interactions: contact center evidence under scrutiny

2026-11-05

CX Today reports on research by IPI, carried out with Cavell, among 400 compliance, operations and customer operations leaders at UK retail and financial services firms. The contrast is striking: 98% say they are ready for FCA scrutiny of vulnerable customers and 94% say the topic reached board level in the past six months, yet only 25% have those interactions automatically logged and searchable.

Being prepared is not the same as being able to prove it

According to the study, nearly two thirds would need three working days or more to retrieve a single interaction record for a regulator, and only 4% could do it the same day. IPI's Annabelle Goymer sums it up: regulators want "evidence of good outcomes", not just written policies.

Handoffs matter too

The same article cites Talkdesk's "State of Customer Experience Automation in EMEA": 59% of organizations using automated agents say people now handle the more complex cases, but only 13% coordinate automation and people with orchestrated handoffs. In other words, when a case reaches a human agent, prior context does not always travel with it.

This is UK sector news, but the lesson applies in any market, including the Dominican Republic, where banks and retailers must also be able to explain how they treated a specific customer.

What your support team can do

  • Log every contact (phone, email, chat, messaging) in a single history per customer.
  • Tag sensitive cases so they can be found without reviewing each one.
  • Measure how long it takes to pull a full case and set an internal target.
  • Keep response times and SLA compliance as part of the evidence.

At TEKFENIX we build Servigo365, a help desk with tickets, multichannel service, per-customer history and SLA tracking, and Nexturno, which records queues, wait times and metrics in branches. Having every interaction organized and searchable is the foundation for answering a customer, an audit or any future automation decision.
